I think prisoners should get the right to vote to a certain extent. If they are considered mentally insane, they shouldn't be allowed to vote, but the average prisoner should get the opportunity. If the felon is released he or she should get the opportunity to vote as well.

1. I abstain from having an opinion on should they be charged; they are drops in a bucket according to the statistics heard all the time. 2. The difference between a misdemeanor and a felony is the time punished and where the imprisonment takes place. 3. Enough things are being done already to combat bullying. more »

I'm bothered by this. This man did what I think many Americans should bring back. "Beating your child" isn't a bad thing in my opinion. It teaches kids discipline and respect. The father was trying to teach respect in my opinion. He might of been wrong for smacking the face, but he was just instilling respect. This probably wouldn't of been news in the 1950's.

This is an absurd issue. This goes to show racsim is still a problem across the country. Yes, it isn't as prevelent as 50 years ago. Many people think racism is a thing of the past, but this article clearly shows that it hasn't completely gone away. I feel for the family. This should never happen. You can't deny one service just because of skin or if another customer feels threatened with the large group of black folk waiting for a table. It is disgusting.
