I think prisoners should get the right to vote to a certain extent. If they are considered mentally insane, they shouldn't be allowed to vote, but the average prisoner should get the opportunity. If the felon is released he or she should get the opportunity to vote as well.

If you change the logo the team will be a little let down, but I can see where the controversy is relevant. It is an ethnic slur and should be changed, but what could you name the team? It has been the name since 1932.
